Teri Turner, RN, is honored to serve as the school nurse at Kilough Elementary School. With a lifelong passion for nursing and extensive clinical experience, she brings a strong foundation of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to the care of students and families.
Teri’s interest in nursing began at the age of five when she received a nurse’s kit for Christmas and knew she wanted to become a nurse. Since beginning her nursing career, she has gained diverse experience across multiple healthcare settings, including 10 years in pediatrics at Medical College of Virginia Hospital, medical-surgical nursing at Northside Hospital, as well as experience in home health and workers’ compensation nursing.
Teri values the unique role school nursing plays in supporting the health, safety, well-being, and academic success of students. She is committed to providing high-quality student-centered care while partnering with families, educators, and the school community to ensure that every student has the support they need to thrive.
She is grateful for the opportunity to bring her clinical experience and passion for pediatric care to Kilough Elementary and looks forward to serving the students and families throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
Fun Fact: Outside of nursing, Teri enjoys spending time at the beach.
